I Am OK Now

by Robin Edward Davis

I am ok now

I’ve gotten over then

I’ve found my rhyme again

Still my mind goes to you

I’ve made it through the storm

Don’t wish I was never born

I made it through the dark

through the night

Finally found some light

Still my mind goes to you

Goes to you

I have another now

Who cares for me so much

Who takes me as I am

And has a gentle touch

We walk along the beach

Or down the street

No matter how I try

My mind goes wondering

Will I spot you passing by

We go out to dance

Like you and I used to do

I have a baby now

I love with all my heart

I’d die a thousand deaths

If we were torn apart

Still my mind goes to you

I’m so much better now

I made it through somehow

Made it through the dark

Through the night

Finally found some light

Still my mind goes to you

I wonder

What if I came face to face with you

What would I do

On the street or in a restaurant

Would I smile

Say you look wonderful

Wish you a happy day

Then turn and walk away

Is that something I could do

if I ran into you

I’ve got another now

Who cares for me so much

I’ve got a baby now

I love with all my heart

I’d die a thousand deaths

If we were torn apart

I’m really better now

In a good place

i made it through somehow

I’ve made it here

nothing to fear

Still my mind goes to you

If I saw you on the street

what would I say

That I made it through the storm

Don’t wish I was never born

That I made it through the dark

Through the night

Finally found some light

Still my mind goes to you

goes to you

Still my mind goes to you

Goes to you

It goes to you

It goes to you
