Take Care of Your Children

   by Robin Edward Davis

To take care of your children

Is the most important thing

You can do

To take care of the innocents

For once you have them

They belong to you

Doesn’t matter if they come

By design or mistake

One thing is true

They are one’s

You may never foresake

Always see your children

Through the eyes of love

You’re the only one who can or will

Your children bear the fruit

Of seeds that you’ve sown

They’ll thrive or will fail

By the love you instill

Just like your parents

Made you who you are

Now you’ve the chance

To make a lost soul or a star

What will you do

With the chance to come through

The answer is what makes

You who you are
