During this past New Year’s Eve week, I went to the Metropolitan room with some friends to see my cabaret guru Marilyn Maye perform. The place was packed and we were stuffed way back in a corner along with a bunch of other folks. It was pretty uncomfortable but spirits were high and the only thing to do while waiting for “The Great One” to start her show, was to get to know the others who were sharing the same predicament. While the show turned out to be vintage Marilyn and tremendous fun, another wonderful outcome of “the crush” was meeting and getting to know the very talented Tony Jacobs. Tony and his wife were in NYC for a whirlwind of cabaret and theater fun and are a delighted pair. Moreover, it turned out that Tony is an accomplished performer. We exchanged information and he’s been sending me notices about his performances like the one enclosed. When you see these videos you may be compelled to book your flight and tickets to be in South Downs for one of these dates in March! Way to go Tony!!!
