Still Here
by Robin Edward Davis
Hey Girl
When we met
We were different
As two people could be
But there was something
We both could feel and see
Passion and love that left us amazed
Even though sometimes
It got dangerous and crazed
So volatile it was scary
We should have been more wary
But we had a kind of pact
That no matter how tough
Or sad or mad that we’d get
We’d never regret that we met
We’d hang in
Through thick and thin
There’s too much beauty here
To give in to doubt or fear
We’re still here
